How to Deal with Tangles

My first Youtube video! Yay! Go ahead, watch it – it’s pretty short. Or you can read the blog version of “How to Deal with Tangles” below the video player :)

Our older sister Amber has waist-length hair. When I told her I was growing mine out, and was having trouble with tangles, she recommended this amazing leave-in conditioner called “It’s a 10: Miracle Leave-in Product.” It’s a little expensive ($18 for a bottle that will last 2-3 months) but it boastsĀ  being a heat protector, leave-in conditioner, damage repairer and seven other awesome things. All I can tell you is that I can’t live without it!

Its a 10

A few weeks later, I was reading a beauty blog about tangles, and the author was raving about the Tangle Teezer. So I looked for this strange-looking brush online, and found that Sally Beauty Supply carries them. I drove straight over, and was delighted to find that the Tangle Teezer only costs $10!

Between the detangler and this weirdo brush, I spend about 1/3 of the time brushing my hair, and usually only end up with one or two hairs caught in the Tangle Teezer (compared to 50+ in my regular brush, which I have to clean out about twice a month).

I can’t recommend this duo highly enough! Especially if you lose a lot of hair while brushing!
